It’s a strange feeling, last time we were here, we were worried about having enough time to see and do everything. 🏝️🚀

I had completely forgotten about this little painting.😅
It was about Pat, who at the time was obsessed with fishing. We used to go every weekend 🎣🐠🐟 (I only wish we had caught fish some time 🤣🥲).
And of course, I painted a cartoon version of his beautiful eyes, so blue, so sweet, so charming. 🩵🤍

The idea was inspired by another artist’s work, but for me it felt so ephemeral. I couldn’t save it or remember their name, and I truly wish I could find it again. 🙏🏼

Each Japanese combat style carries its own meaning and path. The primary focus of Aikido practice is to experience defeat rather than to cultivate violence or aggression.

Thus, the practitioner does not seek to humiliate or defeat others but rather to develop character autonomously and to unify body, mind, and spirit through continuous training. 🤍

Never giving up.

My daily art practice today is inspired by one of my favorite proverbs.💖
It teaches that in the face of life’s adversities, we should never stop trying to get back up and keep moving forward despite defeat.

It is also associated with the traditional Daruma doll, which has a weighted bottom, allowing it to quickly return to an upright position even after falling. (Loveee Duramas).🥰
